Charlotte’s Rapid Growth Explosion Comes to Southeast Charlotte Neighborhoods
“Trio of Development Proposals will Remake High-Profile Intersection”
Pinehurst On Providence, Carmel On Providence and Strawberry Hill, threeof Southeast Charlotte’s popular apartment homeneighborhoods,will be getting a new look.
The neighborhoods, each located near the intersection of Fairview and Providence, will experience new building that could lead to the area becoming akin to Phillips Place. According to the Charlotte Business Journal, “the three developments could generate an estimated 19,610 vehicl trips per day, a 132% increase for the area.” This is one ofmany new development projects boomingacross the Charlotte region. With Charlotte’s density on therise, the good news about this particular project is that developers estimate that theresidential buildings would be no taller than five stories and would not exceed 75 feet in height, while the nonresidential buildings would be limited to two stories and 45 feet in height.
